Marksmanship Team
Overview
The NJROTC Marksmanship Team develops cadets through discipline, focus, and responsibility. Team members learn the fundamentals of marksmanship while emphasizing safety, self-control, and respect at all times.
Using air rifles under strict supervision, cadets train to improve accuracy and consistency while representing the unit in a competitive environment.
What Is Marksmanship?
Marksmanship is the skill of accurately and safely firing a rifle at a target. In NJROTC, marksmanship is taught as a discipline that builds:

Responsibility and safety awareness
Safety is the top priority in every practice and competition. Cadets are required to:

Follow all safety rules and commands at all times

Treat every rifle with respect

Maintain strict discipline on the range

Demonstrate maturity and responsibility
Failure to follow safety procedures may result in removal from the team.

Tuesday & Thursday: Before school, from 7:00am-8:00am
