Color Guard

Overview
The NJROTC Color Guard represents the honor, tradition, and professionalism of the unit. Color Guard members are entrusted with the responsibility of carrying and presenting the national and organizational colors at ceremonies, events, and competitions.
As one of the most visible teams in NJROTC, Color Guard cadets are expected to set the example in bearing, discipline, and respect while representing the unit to the school and community.
What Is Color Guard?
Color Guard is a ceremonial team that presents the colors in accordance with military customs and courtesies. Cadets perform precise movements while maintaining proper posture, timing, and respect for the flags.
Color Guard activities may include:

Presenting the colors at school and community events

Participating in NJROTC competitions

Performing ceremonial sequences with rifles and flags
Color Guard members are held to high standards and are expected to:

Maintain excellent uniform appearance at all times

Demonstrate discipline, respect, and professionalism

Attend practices and events consistently and on time

Follow commands precisely and work as a team

Show proper respect for the colors at all times
Because Color Guard represents the unit in public, cadets must be dependable, motivated, and committed to upholding NJROTC standards.
Practice Times and Dates
Monday-Thursday: Along with Drill Team, from 3:25pm-5:30pm
